Las Vegas Founder of the Consular Chamber of Commerce elected to World Federation Board of Directors

On behalf of the U.S. Department of State, it is a great pleasue to send my warmest greetings to all those gathered for the 9th triennial World Congress of Consuls in Izmir, Turkey.

Secretary of State Hillary Clinton Since 1982, the World Federation of Consuls has brought together Consular Associations from around the world in a spirit of solidarity and collaboration in order to better coordinate efforts and enhance the status and effectiveness of consular officers. This year’s conference theme, “collaboration for economic and social prosperity,” could not be timelier and highlights the role consular officers can and will play in revitalizing the world economy and expanding economic opportunity for all.

As you gather in Izmir for an exciting program of events, please know you have my best wishes, on behalf of the U.S. Department of State, for a healthy exchange of ideas and robust discussion of how we can work together towards our mutual goal of forging peace and prosperity across the globe.

Dr. Aldo AguirreDr. Aldo Aguirre, Honorary Vic-consul of Guatemala will be interviewed Thursday, October 8th on Green Talk Radio, hosted by Ward 5 Chamber of Commerce President Katherine Duncan.

Consul Aguirre, who holds a Doctorate in Public Policy, will be discussing the possible upcoming implementation of green technology in the waste management, power generation and outdoor lighting in Guatemala, as well as new means of financing such endeavors.
